2023 Payroll Tax Form Mailing Information
Paper versions of University’s 2023 W-2 forms will be mailed by January 31, 2024.

Form W-2 Distribution
The IRS Form W-2 is issued and distributed by the University of Notre Dame Payroll Services. There are two methods of distribution from which you may choose:
Online distribution - Employees who opted-in for the Electronic W-2 Statement by the December 31 deadline will receive an email prior to January 31 instructing them to log in InsideND to securely view or print their W-2.
To access your W-2 online:
- Log into InsideND
- Search for W-2 Tax Form
- Click on W-2 Tax Form task
- Enter the year for the W-2 you are wanting to locate and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number
Paper copy distribution - The paper W-2 will be postmarked no later than January 31 to the mailing address we have on file. Undeliverable W-2s may not be forwarded by the United States Postal Service; they are usually returned to Payroll Services.
Note: If you did not opt-in for the electronic on W-2 and are currently employed with the University, you will also have the ability to access your W-2 through insideND prior to January 31.
